What it contributes
A small inspection camera can provide a view through an existing or agreed opening. It may help assess a concealed joint, void or water path without removing a larger surface first.
What it cannot establish alone
The camera only sees where access and the line of sight permit. It cannot inspect every part of a closed pipe route.
The method is selected for the conditions at the property. More than one kind of observation may be needed, and the report should make clear which findings support the proposed next step.
Before the visit
Keep existing pipe drawings and earlier findings available. Describe any restrictions on isolation, access or normal system operation. You do not need to choose or prepare a specialist test yourself.
